Georgian Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili held working meetings with Interior Ministry units in the Samegrelo region, accompanied by First Deputy Minister Roni Meskhi and Deputy Minister Shalva Tadumadze.
Tamazashvili inspected employees' working spaces, equipment and technical resources during visits to the agency's regional divisions, the Ministry press office said on Wednesday.
The minister also travelled to the area near the occupation line at the Enguri Bridge, where he met Interior Ministry personnel responsible for maintaining security and protecting residents living near the administrative boundary line with occupied Abkhazia.
During the meetings, Tamazashvili outlined the ministry's key priorities and said the agency would continue efforts to improve both working conditions and social support for police officers.
He thanked ministry personnel for their service and contribution to public safety.
