Georgia’s newly appointed Interior Minister, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, has held a meeting with senior officials and employees of the Patrol Police Department of Georgia, the ministry’s press service said on Thursday.

During the visit, Tamazashvili toured the department’s infrastructure, working spaces and unified service centre, and spoke with officers about their work and responsibilities.

The minister thanked patrol police personnel for their efforts in maintaining public order, combating crime and ensuring road safety.

Discussions also focused on ongoing and planned projects aimed at improving the effectiveness of patrol police operations and increasing public access to police services.

Tamazashvili said improving working conditions for police officers and modernising police infrastructure remained priorities for the ministry, adding that work in those areas would continue actively.
