Food safety inspectors identify critical violations at several facilities in Tbilisi

In addition to critical violations, inspectors also noted breaches in labeling requirements

Inspectors from the Tbilisi Department of the National Food Agency conducted checks at around 20 public catering establishments in the capital. Critical violations were found in nine of these locations, resulting in fines for the operators and temporary suspension of their business activities.
The businesses with critical non-compliances include:
LLC Cosmo Inc (brand: Fire Wok, Dadiani Street 20, Tbilisi)
Individual entrepreneur H.S. (Giuli Chokhonelidze Street 16)
LLC Miao Jia (Tabukashvili Street 6)
LLC Iomi 1977 (Gamrekeli Street 3)
Individual entrepreneur D.K. (fast-food outlet, Digomi District, III Quarter, Building 35)
LLC R N A Enterprise (Sh. Nutsubidze Street 2)
LLC Al Madina Cave (Tetelashvili Street 2)
LLC Yoko Asia (café-bar restaurant, Chavchavadze Avenue 19)
LLC Flem Catering Management (Chinese restaurant Bambu, Budapest Street 32, Tbilisi)
In addition to critical violations, inspectors also noted breaches in labeling requirements, unregistered business activity in the economic activity registry, operations without mandatory approval from the agency, expired food products, and violations of traceability rules. Businesses were fined according to legislation and provided with recommendations to correct the issues.
The National Food Agency continues to conduct state control inspections across Georgia on a daily basis. Information about violations is shared with the public.
