State Security Service launches investigation into possible sabotage following Imedi TV broadcast interruption

The State Security Service of Georgia on Monday has launched an investigation on charges of sabotage following a request from Imedi TV, the agency announced on Monday in an official statement.

The body added the broadcast of Imedi TV was interrupted at 17:48 and remained off air for approximately 45 minutes.

The Service added that two other channels within the same media holding - Maestro and GDS - also experienced simultaneous broadcasting disruptions.

“Relevant investigative measures are currently underway,” the statement from the State Security Service reads.
