Suspects in brutal murder of 22-year-old Nika Kvaratskhelia allegedly left Georgia

Ako Chelidze and Giorgi Kaviladze, who have been charged with premediated murder in absentia for assassination of 22-year-old Nika Kvaratskhelia, allegedly left the country six hours after firing 10 shots in central Tbilisi on September 15, Rustavi 2 has reported. 

Kvaratskhelia, who was the founder of the Georgian social media Feedc, died the next day with eight gunshots. 

Rustavi 2 says that the suspects allegedly left Georgia the same day via Sarpi checkpoint in western Georgia. 

According to media reports, the murder is connected with revenge on Nika Kvaratskhelia’s father, who is a criminal boss living abroad at this moment. 

It has been reported that sons of killed criminal boss David Kakulia ordered the murder and ‘promised the title of criminal bosses’ to the suspects as soon as they arrived in Tukey.
