“If the 51% rate of face mask use exceeds 90%, the daily cases will be reduced by at least 1,000 units” – Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia said at a briefing after the meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council.

According to her, face mask is still one of the most important mechanisms, the use of which is very important today.

“Today we are at 51% of the number of people using face mask. If this rate increases and exceeds 90%, it will allow us to reduce daily cases by at least 1,000 units. The forecast is as follows. Thus, face mask is still one of the main mechanisms. Enforcement of its use is very important for us today” – Tamar Gabunia said.

The Interagency Coordinating Council decided at today’s meeting that wearing a face mask will be mandatory from tomorrow as well, in an open space where more than five people will gather.
