A Tbilisi court has approved a plea agreement for protester Tamar Lortkipanidze, sentencing her to one year in prison and a three-year suspended sentence.
Under the agreement, approved by Judge Romeo Tkeshelashvili, Lortkipanidze will remain in custody for another four months before being released.
Lortkipanidze had been held in pretrial detention since October 25, 2025, following her arrest over an incident during an anti-government protest on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi on October 22, 2025.
Prosecutors charged her with violence causing physical pain and attacking a police vehicle, alleging that she punched a taxi driver, climbed onto the roof of a patrol police car and repeatedly kicked it, causing damage estimated at 3,300 lari.
