Ukrainian military: Russia’s war losses exceed 1.13mln troops

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Saturday said Russia had lost an estimated 1,135,990 military personnel - killed or wounded - since launching its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

The latest daily increase amounts to around 910 troops.

Updated combat losses recorded between 25 February 2022 and 25 October 2025 include:

  • Tanks: 11,287 (+4)

  • Armored fighting vehicles: 23,459 (+1)

  • Artillery systems: 33,987 (+15)

  • Multiple launch rocket systems: 1,526 (+0)

  • Air defense systems: 1,230 (+0)

  • Aircraft: 428 (+0)

  • Helicopters: 346 (+0)

  • Operational-tactical UAVs: 74,185 (+359)

  • Cruise missiles: 3,880 (+0)

  • Boats/fast craft: 28 (+0)

  • Submarines: 1 (+0)

  • Vehicles and fuel tanks: 65,436 (+80)

  • Special equipment: 3,981 (+0)
