Tatia Nikolashvili, Deputy Chair of the Political Council of the opposition United National Movement (UNM), has accused Georgian security services of surveilling and intimidating her in the presence of her young child, warning that she will respond aggressively if the harassment continues.
In a post on social media, Nikolashvili alleged that a vehicle belonging to Georgia’s law enforcement or state security agencies has been openly following her movements in a threatening manner.
“They are monitoring and deliberately trying to intimidate me, but I want to issue a warning: if they do this again while I’m with my young child, I will burn their eyes out. I give you my word,” Nikolashvili wrote.
According to her, the vehicle followed her openly, stopped near her, rolled down its window, and took photos of her — a move she described as a “demonstrative act of intimidation.”
“I saw the car. They wanted me to see it,” she said, adding that she has already endured intimidation from figures aligned with the ruling Georgian Dream party, naming MPs Anri Okhanashvili and Mamuka Mdinaradze.
