Tbilisi City Hall said on Wednesday that it has plans to spend 3,050,000 GEL for a local festival Tbilisoba, dedicated to the Georgian capital, demanding a right to simplified procurements to get ready for the occasion in a limited timeframe.

Explaining its motivations for simplified procurements, Tbilisi City Hall said that the festival, which has been marked since 1979, was scheduled on October 1-2.

“The planning and organization of the events dedicated to the festival is mainly related to intellectual services (director, artist, designer, etc.) and individual perceptions. The event must be held within a limited time frame”, said Tbilisi City Hall, noting that announcing the tender would take time.

In the description of the event, the local authorities indicated that it would be a quite large-scale and diverse event, with various activities and concerts planned on several streets of Tbilisi, as well as the award ceremony of honorary citizens of the Georgian capital.
