Tbilisi City Hall to spend $2.3 mln for New Year events

Tbilisi City Hall says it will spend about  $2.3 million for New Year events without tender, citing “specifics of the events” and that the “majority of planned activities are authors’ works”. 

 

New Year events in Tbilisi will be held from December 15, 2023 to January 7, 2024 at the following places:

 

In the vicinity of Orbeliani Square (Giorgi Atoneli Street, Italy Street, Anton Purtseladze Street, Pkhovi Street, Khazini Street).

 

A New Year’s City will be organised on the dry bridge and Deda Ena Garden, and a Christmas market will also be held.

 

The main Christmas tree will be erected in front of the Parliament building on Rustaveli Avenue, and a New Year’s gala concert will be held on the Republic Square.

 

The City Hall will spend an additional $264,000 for a new Christmas tree.
