Tbilisi is hosting ambassadors from the European Union and member states on Eastern Partnership issues, including from Spain, the Georgian Foreign Office said on Monday.

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili has been scheduled to meet the delegation, who will stay in the country for two days, in the format of a working lunch.

“As part of the visit, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and representatives of the Georgian Government will hold a meeting with the delegation. The ambassadors will visit the occupation line and get acquainted with the security situation at the scene”, the MFA said.

The visit comes ahead of the European Commission report on Tbilisi’s implementation of candidacy conditions on November 8.
