Tbilisi Mayor announces 18-meter buses in December

Kakha Kaladze, Tbilisi Mayor, on Tuesday said a 18-meter buses would enter the country’s capital in December. 

 

“Today we have some challenges – we see overcrowded buses. 18-meter buses will allow us to ease the traffic”, the official claimed while in Germany. 

 

Tbilisi City Hall signed a contract for the purchase of 160 new 18-meter buses in June 2023. 

 

The contract was signed between “Tbilisi Transport Company” LLC and “Tegeta Motors”, with cost reaching 259 million GEL.

 

Kaladze made a promise to add 18-meter buses to Tbilisi’s transport five years ago.
