Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze says that water provision is a “serious problem” in Tbilisi due to frequent issues on various networks, noting that Georgian Water and Power (GWP) has done little to address genuine problems for years.

Kaladze said today that underground water communication systems have not changed for decades -” since Tbilisi became a capital.”

He said that when Tbilisi City Hall does renovation work, it also replaces the outdated systems.

Tbilisi residents frequently receive messages from GWP over suspension of water provision due to certain accidents or damages on various locations.
