Incumbent Tbilisi Mayor and the candidate of the ruling Georgian Dream party for the post in the upcoming municipal elections has reacted to the comments of Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid that Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova may need 20 years for EU membership.

“Everyone should mind their own country,” Kaladze has reacted, adding that Georgia will continue its reform agenda to become an EU member country ‘soon’.

Kaljulaid has told Ukrainian online portal Yevropeiska Pravda that it will take long until the three EU aspirant countries meet the EU criteria.

Georgia has plans to submit an application for EU membership by 2024.
