Georgian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili says that there are zero chances Russian dark money to be imported to Georgia, following Russia having faced mass international sanctions for its move to invade Ukraine.

“The Georgian banking system is responsible and one of the leaders in terms of transparency,” Davitashvili said today.

He stated that the financial system of Georgia operates in accordance with international standards.

“Georgia is a worthy member of the international community where such transactions and risks are unlikely. Georgia is part of all the agreements that prevent the circulation of illegal income,” – said Davitashvili.

He stated that the country has never been a target of complaints in this regard.
