Egyptian national wanted on drug charges arrested at Tbilisi Int’l Airport

Officers of the Vake-Saburtalo division of the Tbilisi Police Department have arrested an Egyptian citizen, who was wanted on drug-related charges, Georgia’s Interior Ministry announced on Sunday.

The Ministry added the detainee had been selling narcotics, including marijuana, from own residence in exchange for money. The detainee had been declared wanted by a ruling of Tbilisi City Court on August 25.

The suspect was detained at Tbilisi International Airport and subsequently transferred to a penitentiary facility.
