In a series of coordinated investigative actions in Tbilisi and the Adjara region, the Investigation Service of Georgia's Ministry of Finance has seized various types of equipment and documentation. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into the suspected illegal activities of so-called call centers, the agency announced on Thursday.
The seized materials included electronic information and documentation believed to be linked to the alleged criminal activities of the call centers. The investigation is being conducted under several articles of the Criminal Code of Georgia, including Article 180 (fraud), Article 192 (illegal entrepreneurial activity), Article 194 (money laundering), and Article 218 (tax evasion).
