Police in Georgia have arrested a man accused of killing two family members under aggravating circumstances.

Officers from the Tbilisi Police Department detained D.R., born in 1971, the MIA press office said on Tuesday.

Investigators said the suspect attacked his mother and brother with a knife following a domestic dispute, inflicting fatal chest wounds. Both victims died at the scene.

Law enforcement officers have seized the alleged murder weapon as evidence.

The crime carries a possible sentence of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
