Georgian authorities have arrested a Kazakh citizen wanted on an Interpol Red Notice for organising illegal online gambling and misappropriating large sums of money, the Interior Ministry has announced.

The suspect, identified only as R.B., was detained in Tbilisi by officers from the Central Criminal Police Department and the Prosecutor General’s Office. He has been sought by Kazakhstan since November 2025 following a criminal conviction, according to officials.

Investigators say R.B. operated illegal online casino platforms in Kazakhstan for personal financial gain. Online gambling is prohibited and not subject to licensing under Kazakh law. The ministry also reported that the suspect allegedly appropriated substantial funds transferred to his bank accounts by participants in the illegal gambling schemes.
