Man arrested over stabbing of nightclub security guard in Tbilisi

Georgian police have arrested a previously convicted man on charges of intentionally causing minor bodily injury to a nightclub security guard in Tbilisi.

The suspect allegedly injured the security guard with a bladed weapon during an altercation near a nightclub.

The injured man was taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Police arrested the suspect following operational and investigative measures.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 120 of Georgia's Criminal Code, which carries a sentence of up to three years in prison.
