Two arrested over attempted group theft in Tbilisi supermarket

Police in Tbilisi have arrested two people on charges of attempted group theft after they allegedly tried to steal goods from a supermarket, Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

Investigators said the pair attempted to steal merchandise and flee the scene but failed to complete the crime, as police detained both suspects at the scene.

If convicted, the suspects face up to seven years in prison.
