Police in Tbilisi have detained three people on suspicion of carrying out a group assault, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.

Officers from the Old Tbilisi Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department arrested three men born in 1987, 1998 and 1992. One of the detainees has a previous conviction and is currently serving a suspended sentence.

Investigators said the suspects physically assaulted two individuals following a dispute. The victims, identified as A.B. and D.F., sustained injuries as a result of the alleged attack. The suspects are accused of fleeing the scene after the incident.

Police said all three were detained shortly afterwards as a result of оперативული measures and investigative actions.

The charges carry a possible prison sentence of up to seven years.
