Police in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi have arrested four individuals on drug-related charges, the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced on Sunday.
The arrests were carried out by officers from the Gldani-Nadzaladevi, Vake-Saburtalo, and Isani-Samgori police divisions during separate operations.
Those detained include a 1996-born suspect identified as S.A., a 1988-born suspect identified as N.V., as well as two previously convicted individuals: I.E., born in 1993, and V.K., born in 1989.
The Ministry said searches of the suspects’ residences and personal belongings led to the seizure of large and especially large quantities of narcotics prepared for sale, including Alpha-PVP, methadone, and dried marijuana.
The charges, which include illegal possession, storage, facilitation of distribution, and use of narcotics without a doctor’s prescription, carry penalties of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
