French low-cost carrier Transavia France has officially launched operations at Tbilisi International Airport.
The airline, a subsidiary of Air France and Transavia Airlines, made its debut with a Boeing 737-800 arriving from Paris Orly Airport. The new Paris–Tbilisi–Paris route will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Transavia France is among eight new airlines added to Tbilisi International Airport’s schedule for the 2025 summer navigation season. The carrier, which serves 120 destinations across Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, now joins its parent companies-Air France and Transavia Airlines-which already operate flights to Georgia.
TAV Georgia, which operates both Tbilisi and Batumi international airports, has placed increased emphasis on developing new routes amid rising passenger demand.
This week, Swiss airline Edelweiss is also set to begin flights to Tbilisi, following last week’s launch of operations by British Airways and EasyJet.
TAV Georgia, which has been active in the Georgian aviation market for two decades, has invested over $230 million in airport development.
The company says it is continuing to invest in infrastructure and workforce development to ensure service quality keeps pace with growing passenger numbers.
