Georgian police have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred in Tbilisi last night. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the suspect was detained shortly after the crime and is charged with intentional homicide, which carries a prison sentence of up to 15 years.

Authorities identified the suspect as a person born in 2006. The investigation revealed that the suspect stabbed a 21-year-old man, born in 2004, near a bar in Tbilisi before fleeing the scene. The victim was rushed to a hospital but did not survive.

The case is being investigated under Article 108 of Georgia’s Criminal Code, which pertains to intentional murder.

According to media reports, the victim was Giorgi Akhalia, a 21-year-old athlete.
