Marchers from regions to join protesters in Tbilisi on Saturday

Protests in Tbilisi will intensify today as demonstrators from various areas of Georgia join the marches in the capital.

A series of marches is planned throughout the day, including:

2:00 PM: A march from the Kakha Bendukidze Campus to Tbilisi City Court.

3:00 PM: Teachers’ march from the Vaso Abashidze Theatre, and the “March of Kutaisians” from the Rezo Gabriadze Theatre to Parliament.

4:00 PM: The “March of Svans” from the Philharmonic Hall to Parliament.

5:00 PM: The “March of Acharians” from Europe Square, and a fashion industry march from Vake Park to Parliament.

6:00 PM: The “March of Rachians” and the “March of Aragvians,” both from Vake Park to Parliament, as well as the “March of Kartlians” from Mziuri Park, and the “March of Imeretians” from Bukia Garden.

7:00 PM: The “March of Megrelians” from Tbilisi State University and the “March of Meskhetians” from Republic Square.

All marches will converge on Rustaveli Avenue, the main protest site.

Protesters are demanding the release of detained demonstrators and the organization of new parliamentary elections.

This marks the 24th consecutive day of protests in Tbilisi and across the regions. The demonstrations erupted following the government’s suspension of negotiations with the European Union, sparking widespread outrage.
