The court of the occupied Tskhinvali sentenced the unlawfully detained Zaza Gakheladze to 12 and a half years in prison.

In Tskhinvali today the so-called trial of the illegally detained Zaza Gakheladze took place.

According to the wife of Zaza Gakheladze, this decision of the so-called court was unexpected for the family.

Representatives of the occupation forces detained 33-year-old Zaza Gakheladze at the so-called dividing line on July 11. Gakheladze is charged with illegal crossing of the so-called borders and opening fire on "border guards". Zaza Gakheladze was wounded during the illegal detention.
