In the event of a Russian invasion of Ukraine, veterans and reservists must be ready to mobilize. Interior Minister Arsen Avakov wrote about this on Facebook.
"The Putin regime is again accumulating military forces near the borders of Ukraine, threatening with new aggression! The mad dog is again at our gates. We are no stranger – we will defend ourselves on our land!"
In his opinion, today it is extremely important to respond to the threat by concentrating all the patriotic forces of Ukraine around a common goal – to repulse possible provocations and aggression.

"The consolidated forces of statesmen and civil patriots-veterans – the regular forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the reservists, should unite to defend their country. This was the case in 2014, and it will be so now, if necessary," Avakov stressed.
He also recalled that one of these days will be the seventh anniversary of the creation of the first volunteer battalions in Ukraine.
“Then we had only 10% of military experience, but 90% of fortitude. And together with the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we were able to stop the occupiers. Thanks to every volunteer soldier for his worthy service in the ATO zone. to defend their native land, "Avakov said.
He added that taking into account the build-up of the Russian Federation's forces near the Ukrainian borders, it is necessary to prepare for the defense of Ukraine.
