The number of detected infections with coronavirus in the world since the beginning of the pandemic on Thursday morning was 121 million 196 thousand 160, according to data from the American University of Johns Hopkins.

Worldwide, the number of deaths from COVID-19-related diseases increased per day to 2 million 680 thousand 410, about 97 million people recovered.

Countries with 10 million or more COVID-19 infections include the United States, Brazil and India.

The United States remains the leader in the number of people infected and died, where a total of 29 million 605 thousand 933 infected with COVID-19 were detected, 538 thousand 52 deaths were recorded, more than 21 million people were cured.

In second place in the world in terms of the number of infected Brazil. Here, during the pandemic, 11 million 693 thousand 838 cases were registered, of which 284 thousand 775 people died, more than 10 million were cured.

India ranks third in terms of the number of infected, where the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to 11 million 474 thousand 605, the number of deaths – 159 thousand 216, more than 11 million people recovered.

According to the portal Worldometer, which specializes in statistics on the most important world events, the death rate per 1 million of the world's population was 345.5 as of Thursday morning. In the United States, 1 thousand 657 people died per 1 million inhabitants, Brazil – 1 thousand 335, India – 115.
