The number of detected infections with coronavirus in the world since the beginning of the pandemic on Thursday morning amounted to 133 million 116 thousand 310, according to data from the American Johns Hopkins University.
Worldwide, the number of deaths from COVID-19-related diseases increased per day to 2 million 887 thousand 706, more than 105 million people recovered.
Countries with 10 million or more COVID-19 infections include the United States, Brazil and India.
The United States remains the leader in the number of people infected and died, where a total of 30 million 922 thousand 347 infected with COVID-19 were detected, 559 thousand 109 deaths were recorded, more than 24 million people were cured.
In the second position in the world in terms of the number of infected Brazil, where during the pandemic 13 million 193 thousand 205 cases were registered, of which 340 thousand 776 people died, more than 11 million were cured.
The third place in terms of the number of people infected is India, where the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to 12 million 921 thousand 598, the number of deaths – 166 thousand 827, more than 11 million people recovered.
According to the portal Worldometer, which specializes in statistics on the most important world events, the death rate per 1 million of the world's population was 372.2 as of Thursday morning. In the USA, 1 thousand 723 people died per 1 million inhabitants, Brazil – 1 596, India – 120.
