The number of detected cases of coronavirus in the world since the beginning of the pandemic on Saturday morning amounted to 134 million 691 thousand 699, according to data from the American University of Johns Hopkins.
Worldwide, the number of deaths from COVID-19-related diseases increased per day to 2 million 915 thousand 400, about 107 million people recovered.
Countries with 10 million or more COVID-19 infections include the United States, Brazil and India.
The United States remains the leader in the number of people infected and died, where a total of 31 million 85 thousand 251 infected with COVID-19 were detected, 561 thousand 74 deaths were recorded, more than 24 million people were cured.
In the second position in the world in terms of the number of infected Brazil, where during the pandemic 13 million 373 thousand 174 cases were registered, of which 348 thousand 718 people died, more than 11 million were cured.
The third place in terms of the number of people infected is India, where the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to 13 million 205 thousand 926, the number of deaths – 168 thousand 436, more than 11 million people have recovered.
According to the portal Worldometer, which specializes in statistics on the most important world events, the death rate per 1 million of the world's population was 375.7 on Saturday morning. In the United States, 1 thousand 729 people died per 1 million inhabitants, Brazil – 1 thousand 633, India – 121.
