The number of detected infections with coronavirus in the world since the beginning of the pandemic on Wednesday morning was 142 million 650 thousand 677, according to data from the American University of Johns Hopkins.
Globally, the number of deaths from diseases associated with COVID-19 has reached 3 million 41 thousand 923 people.
Countries with 10 million or more COVID-19 infections include the United States, India and Brazil.
The United States remains the leader in the number of people infected and died, where a total of 31 million 792 thousand 110 infected with COVID-19 were detected, 568 thousand 461 deaths were recorded.
The second largest number of people infected is India, where the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic amounted to 15 million 321 thousand 89, the number of deaths – 180 thousand 530, more than 13 million people have recovered.
In the third position in the world in terms of the number of infected Brazil, where during the pandemic 14 million 043 thousand 076 cases were registered, of which 378 thousand 3 people died, more than 12.4 million were cured.
According to the portal Worldometer, which specializes in statistics on the most important world events, the death rate per 1 million of the world's population was 392.0 on Wednesday morning. In the United States, 1 thousand 751 people died per 1 million inhabitants, in India – 131, Brazil – 1 thousand 771.
