The number of detected infections with coronavirus in the world on Thursday morning was 149 million 242 thousand 187, according to the American Johns Hopkins University.

Globally, since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of deaths from diseases associated with COVID-19 has reached 3 million 147 thousand 16 people, more than 126 million have been cured.

Countries with over 10 million cases of COVID-19 infection include the United States, India and Brazil.

The United States remains the leader in the number of people infected and died, where a total of 32 million 229 thousand 327 infected with COVID-19 were detected, 574 thousand 326 deaths were recorded, about 25 million people recovered.

India ranks second in terms of the number of infected, where the number of diseases continues to rise at a serious rate of concern. Over the past day, 360 thousand 960 new infections were detected, as a result, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic reached 17 million 997 thousand 267, the number of deaths – 201 thousand 187, more than 14 million recovered.

In the third position in the world in terms of the number of infected Brazil, where during the pandemic 14 million 521 thousand 289 cases were registered, of which 398 thousand 185 people died, more than 12 million recovered.

According to the portal Worldometer, which specializes in statistics on the most important world events, the death rate per 1 million of the world's population was 405.9 as of Thursday morning. In the United States, 1 thousand 769 people died per 1 million inhabitants, India – 147, Brazil – 1 thousand 863.
