The administration of the Federal Penitentiary Service announced the transfer of blogger Alexei Navalny, who is being held in correctional colony No. 2 in the Vladimir region, to a medical and sanitary unit. This is due to the fact that in the course of the planned prophylactic medical examination, the convict showed signs of a respiratory illness, including a high temperature.

In this regard, all the necessary tests were taken, including a test for coronavirus infection. The convict was transferred to a medical and sanitary unit, where he is under the supervision of medical workers. The institution carries out planned sanitary and anti-epidemic measures, disinfection of all rooms, quartzing and airing, ”the Federal Penitentiary Service said in response to Izvestia's request.

Meanwhile, Izvestia's source denied information about an outbreak of tuberculosis in the colony. According to him, if someone really fell ill around Navalny, then the entire detachment would be sent to quarantine.

Earlier on April 5, a post was published on Navalny's Instagram stating that three people from the blogger's detachment have recently been hospitalized with tuberculosis. This, according to his calculations, is 20% of the population. Navalny himself reportedly has a severe cough and a temperature of 38.1.

On February 2, the Simonovsky court of the capital ruled to cancel Navalny's suspended sentence in the Yves Rocher case and replace him with 3.5 years in a general regime colony. The decision was made due to the blogger's numerous violations of the probationary period.

Punishment Navalny is serving in correctional colony No. 2 in the Vladimir region. He repeatedly complained about the lack of medical care and disturbed sleep patterns: as if he was a prisoner marked “inclined to run away,” he was woken up every hour. On March 31, the blogger went on a hunger strike.

Meanwhile, at the end of March, the FSIN denied these accusations by Navalny. They noted that medical workers examined the prisoner after his health complaints and assessed his condition as satisfactory. They also reported that Navalny was reprimanded for constant violations related to the convict's refusal to comply with a number of mandatory requirements, such as wearing the prescribed uniform or following the daily routine.

In addition, REN TV now has a video of the camera checking after lights out. What is recorded on the record is at variance with the words of the blogger about the alleged violation of the sleep regime by the colony staff. The footage shows how an employee with a fixed video camera, making an evening round of prisoners marked "inclined to escape", approaches so as not to wake the prisoner. Navalny is sleeping at this moment, not noticing the check: he has earplugs in his ears, and a sleep mask on his face.
