Tina Bokuchava, leader of the United National Movement (UNM), has called for intensified protests outside the Central Election Commission (CEC) to hold its head, Giorgi Kalandarishvili, directly accountable for what she describes as undermining Georgia’s European aspirations.

“The center of our protests must shift to the CEC,” Bokuchava declared, emphasizing that Kalandarishvili should personally bear responsibility for any actions that threaten Georgia’s democratic path and future in Europe.

“He must feel this pressure, both personally and institutionally, for any role he plays in blocking the country’s European aspirations,” she stressed.

Bokuchava added that a unified front from Georgian citizens and the opposition, combined with continued international engagement, would be critical to ensuring accountability.
