Tina Bokuchava, the leader of the United National Movement, has expressed grave concerns about the suspension of the US-Georgia strategic partnership, warning of severe ramifications for Georgia’s future.

Speaking to the media, Bokuchava stated that the United States’ decision signals the end of critical support in defense, economic aid, and political cooperation, effectively isolating Georgia on the international stage.

“When the US declares that strategic relations are over, it means halting all defense assistance, economic support, and political dialogue. This puts Georgia in complete international isolation,” Bokuchava said.

The opposition leader further criticized the Georgian government, accusing it of aligning with Russia. “The regime has left us with the occupying Russia, whose officials congratulated the Georgian authorities on their decision within half an hour,” she claimed.
Bokuchava also warned that the only remaining partnership for Georgia could be with China, a move she says would lead to the country’s erasure as a modern Western state.

The statement follows the US State Department’s announcement suspending its strategic partnership with Georgia, citing concerns over the country’s democratic trajectory and recent actions by the Georgian government.
