It seems that three opposition parties have united in a bid to receive common royalties from the occupier, the ruling party MP, Anri Okhanashvili said on Thursday, in comments on the recent statement of the Strategy Agmashenebeli, Droa and Girchi-More Freedom opposition parties over making an agreement on a joint action plan for Georgia’’s EU membership candidate status.

“It is widely known that the family of Elene Khoshtaria [Droa leader] receives money from the occupiers and they call it royalties. It seems that they [the opposition parties] unite to receive common royalties from the occupiers, but it has no big importance whether they unite or not as they have no support in the public”, Okhanashvili said.

Giorgi Vashadze, the head of the Strategy Agmashenebeli opposition party, said that agreeing on the action plan did not mean the merger of the parties.

He called on other opposition groups to join the agreement and “save” the country from the “pro-Russian” authorities and act for the country to receive EU membership candidate status [next year].
