Tina Bokuchava, chairwoman of the United National Movement opposition party, on Monday said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was “not alone”, as Western leaders met in Washington to reaffirm support for Kyiv later during the day.
“Today’s meeting shows that Zelenskyy is not alone, he is backed by the free world, which together with Ukraine will not allow Russia to prevail. With Ukraine’s victory, we too will win,” Bokuchava told reporters.
She highlighted the presence of key figures alongside Zelenskyy, including NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Bokuchava further noted their participation demonstrated that “the Ukrainian people are not alone in their fight for freedom” and that Russia would not be allowed to achieve the outcome “desired by Bidzina Ivanishvili [the founder and honorary chair of the Georgian ruling party].”
