The Constitution stipulates that Georgia sees its future and development in close connection and multilateral cooperation with the West. The anti-Western campaign aims to spark mistrust and confusion in the public and hinder the country’s development, Metropolitan of Poti and Khobi, Eminence Grigol said on Wednesday.

He suggested that Georgia was going through a complicated period, noting that as earlier, moves against the country’s advancement and development would not prevail.

“Believe and have faith, the future is yours, ours, our children’s, and no one can harm it, unless we ourselves harm it with our laziness, indifference, excessive emotions, mutual non-acceptance and intolerance, or with the attitude that – what can I do?” said the top cleric.
He stated that Georgia needed unity in the hard time as “strength is always in unity.”
