Tougher rules enacted for school excursions after several accidents

The Georgian Ministry of Education is scheduled to enact new regulations on school excursions after several students have died in accidents over the past several years.
According to the new rules, the excursion location should not be more than 150 kilometers from the school, while night excursions will be prohibited
While on excursion, minors should not enter the areas with a river or a reservoir, as well as landslide-prone and other locations carrying some threats.
The school excursion must be accompanied by at least one individual with first aid skills.
