A tourist went missing in floodwaters in Georgia’s Pshavi region.

A video depicting the incident was released by a local Levan Chincharauli on Monday.

The Georgian Emergency Management service is searching  the man.

Heavy rain has caused serious problems in Georgia’s mountainous regions in recent days, with Kazbegi customs checkpoint in the country’s  north temporarily suspended.

Due to heavy rains in Mtskheta-Mtianeti Municipality, the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has started the process of evacuating citizens by border police helicopters to help those  stranded due to heavy traffic.
