Trump says ‘I’m the King’, claims record Boeing aircraft sales

US President Donald Trump has declared himself “the king”, claiming he has sold more Boeing aircraft than any other individual in history.

Speaking during an address in Washington, Trump said he had received an award as “salesman of the year” from Boeing, arguing that his record surpasses that of anyone else in the company’s history.

“I am the king - I have sold more Boeing planes than any human being on Earth. They gave me an award - salesman of the year. I said, what about salesmen in the history of Boeing? I have sold more Boeing planes than any man in history, by far,” Trump said.

The remarks were made as Trump highlighted his role in promoting US industry and large-scale commercial deals during his presidency.
