US President Donald Trump on Friday commented on the situation in Minnesota, claiming that those responsible for the unrest are often “highly paid professionals”.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump described the instigators of the disturbances as agitators and rebels, accusing local authorities of losing control of the situation.

“In Minnesota, the troublemakers, agitators, and insurrectionists are, in many cases, highly paid professionals,” Trump wrote.

He also criticised the state governor and the mayor, saying they “do not know what to do” and have become “completely ineffective.” Trump added that if he were forced to intervene, the problem would be resolved “quickly and effectively”.
