Trump: Russia wants deal, Zelenskyy must act or risk missing major opportunity

US President Donald Trump on Friday said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would need to take action within the peace process, warning that failure to do so could result in a missed opportunity.

“Zelenskyy will have to take action. Russia wants a deal, and Zelenskyy will also have to take action. Otherwise, he will miss a great opportunity,” Trump said.

Over the past month, Ukraine, the United States and Russia have held two rounds of peace talks in Abu Dhabi.

During this period, however, Moscow has shown no clear signs of readiness to end the war.
