US President Donald Trump has denied reports that he will attend Moscow’s Victory Day parade on May 9. When asked by a France 24 correspondent if he would participate in the event commemorating the Soviet Union’s victory in World War II, Trump responded, “No, I won’t go.”

Earlier, French publication Le Point had reported that Trump intended to attend the Moscow parade. The publication wrote anonymous sources had indicated that Trump is “highly likely” to visit Moscow on May 9 to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and “celebrate a joint victory” following peace negotiations concluding Russia’s war against Ukraine.
