US President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine will take part in negotiations with Russia to end the war. He has also expressed his desire for Russia to be reinstated in the G7.

According to reports, Trump told journalists that he wants Russia to rejoin the G7, effectively restoring the G8 format. He argued that expelling Russia in 2014, following the annexation of Crimea, was a mistake.

Trump also mentioned that new trade tariffs, including those on automobiles, could take effect as early as April.

When asked whether Ukraine would have a seat at the negotiating table to end the war, he responded, “Yes, of course.”

Additionally, Trump stated that he trusts Russian President Vladimir Putin on the issue of the Ukraine war. He also agreed with the US Secretary of Defense’s recent comment that Ukraine’s NATO membership is unlikely.
