US President Donald Trump on Monday defended his handling of efforts to end Russia’s war against Ukraine, saying he knows what he is doing and does not need advice.
“I have settled six wars in six months, one of them a possible Nuclear disaster, and yet I have to read and listen to the Wall Street Journal, and many other who truly do not have a clue, tell me everything that I am doing wrong on the Russia/Ukraine mess, that is Sleepy Joe Biden’s war, not mine”, Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“I am only here to stop it, not to prosecute it any further. It would have never happened if I was President”, he added.
He called his critics “stupid people with no common sense, intelligence, or understanding” and who “only make the current Russia-Ukraine disaster more difficult to fix”.
“I know exactly what I’m doing, and I do not need the advice of people who have been working on all of these conflicts for years, and were never able to do a thing to stop them [...] Despite all of my lightweight and very jealous critics, I will get it done - I always do!!!” he added.
Earlier, Trump published another social media post, writing that the “fake media” and Democrats would find a reason to criticise him even if Russia surrendered.
