Giorgi Narimanidze, a 32-year-old truck driver, was arrested by Georgian law enforcers earlier today for supporting the country’s former president Mikheil Saakashvili move inside the country after illegally crossing into Georgia at the end of September of the year.

Narimanidze has been charged with concealment of a crime which is punishable by up to four years in prison.

Local media outlets say that Saakashvili was hidden in Narimanidze’s truck while arriving from Poti to Tbilisi.

Three other individuals have already been charged in the case.

Police claim that all the four individuals supported Saakashvili only after he crossed into Georgia from Ukraine.

It has not been announced so far how Saakashvili managed to enter the country.

Saakashvili, a convicted Georgian third president, was arrested in Tbilisi on October 1, a day before Georgian municipal elections, after eight years in political exile.
