Gia Kharchilava, the only opposition mayor in Tsalenjikha of western Georgia, on Tuesday said that an examination concluded his personal car was burnt as a result of an artificial fire in October.

“My personal car did not burn due to self-ignition, nor due to carelessness. According to the expert’s report, it was established that the cause of the burning of the car was an artificial fire. The same conclusion mentions the whole dynamics of how this fire broke out”, he said.

Kharchilava is a member of the United National Movement opposition party.
